On 26 February 2025, Dr. Chuwit Mitrchob, Depurty Director-General and Acting Director-General of DASTA, joined the unveiling of “Thailand Summer Festivals 2025” under the theme "7 Months 7 Wonders” at Santimaitri Building, Government House, Bangkok. The Thailand Summer Festivals is a seven-month celebration, running from March to September 2025, and features over 70 events across seven categories—Songkran, Pride, Cultural Festivals, Music, Sports, Food, and Arts & Creativity.

In this event, Prime Minister H.E. Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra stated that Tourism is a key driver of Thailand’s economy, contributing over 14% of GDP. The Thai Government’s goal is to establish Thailand as a year-round travel destination, reducing the low-season impact with vibrant and interesting festivals and cultural experiences in every month. For “Thailand Summer Festivals 2025”, the Government highlighted various festivals and activities to attract tourists to visit all regions of Thailand, including both major touristic cities and touristic cities, as well as to encourage income distribution to the locals.

Also in attendance were Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, Minister of Tourism and Sports, Ms. Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Minister of Culture, other Cabinet members, and Dr. Surapong Suebwonglee, Deputy Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Soft Power Development Committee of Thailand.
