DASTA joins TCEB in launching “Yok Team Prachum, Rum Rak Mueang Thai Season 2” Campaign to Boost Domestic MICE
On 16 May 2025, Mr. Siripakorn Cheawsamoot, Director-General of DASTA, along with Dr. Wassana Pongsapan, Director of Community-based Tourism Office and DASTA officers joined Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB at the launching ceremony of “Yok Team Prachum, Rum Rak Mueang Thai Season 2” Campaign at SO/ Bangkok Hotel. Supported by 16 organizations, this campaign aims to boost and strengthen domestic MICE market, and to link organizational activities to actual sustainably development of local communities. DASTA, as one of the partner organizations, has support this campaign continuedly since 2024.
In this occasion, Director-General of DASTA joined panelists in session “Yok Team Prachum, Rum Rak Mueang Thai Season 2: Inviting Office Teams to Go Off-Site Across Thailand”, stated that DASTA serves as a central organization to coordinate and support local communities or tourism destinations to develop its potential development and quality tourism management. Therefore, participating as a partner in this campaign is a great opportunity for DASTA to invite quality MICE travelers to enjoy new experiences of community-based tourism with unique charm and identity, through local wisdom, storytelling, and hands-on creative activities. Organizations participating in this campaign will have a chance to win a prize to organize a corporate event in one of 32 communities from DASTA's 9 designated areas, worth 10,000 baht per group.
This Season 2 campaign creates a great channel to connect local communities to high-value markets, opens up opportunities for communities to showcase their potentials, identities, products and creative tourism activities, and promotes local communities’ events to wider groups of audiences, ultimately generating and distributing income to local communities.
