DASTA congratulates Nan and Songkhla Provinces as the new designated members of UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) of 2025 

 

On World Cities Day (October 31) 2025, UNESCO officially designated Nan and Songkhla as the newest Thai members of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN).


✨ Nan : City of Crafts and Folk Art ✨

 

✨ Songkhla : City of Gastronomy ✨

 

With this new addition, there are now 9 UNESCO Creative Cities of UCCN in Thailand:

1) 2015: Phuket, City of Gastronomy

2) 2017: Chiang Mai, City of Crafts and Folk Art

3) 2019: Bangkok, City of Design

4) 2019: Sukhothai, City of Crafts and Folk Art *

5) 2021: Phetchaburi, City of Gastronomy *

6) 2023: Suphanburi, City of Music *

7) 2023: Chiang Rai, City of Design *

8) 2025: Nan, City of Crafts and Folk Art *

9) 2025: Songkhla, City of Gastronomy *

Remark: * = These creative cities are located within DASTA's designated areas or potential areas, where DASTA played central role in its integrated development and collaboration in becoming members of UCCN.
